Described by previous guests as "the most relaxing stay ever", Le Pigeonnier makes a perfect venue for those looking to get away from it all.
The Main House will comfortably sleep 9 people (and a baby). Briefly, the accommodation comprises: Entrance hall with terracotta tiled floors; large dining-room with many original C18th features; door leading to tiled terrace under grapevines and views across open countryside; huge newly-fitted kitchen; sejour, with TV/ video and music facilities; Ground floor WC. Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms, a twin and 3 singles. Also a bathroom, shower room and separate W.C.

In all, the land extends to about 10 acres - much of which is meadowland, so plenty of room for little ones to play safely. Our orchard includes fig, apricot, cherry, plum, pear, almond, apple and peach - ideal for picnics or just relaxing with a glass of wine in the golden sunshine.
Garden furniture and a barbecue are included. There is also a garden tonelle (gazebo) equipped with table and chairs for eating outside.
We have just installed a solid French oak decking area around the 8.6 metre X 4.6 metre pool, which is above ground. Guests can sunbathe and enjoy the pool area on this 40 sq metre pool patio area. This offers excellent, safe supervision for parents of little ones and a lovely level area for enjoying drinks by the pool.

Nearby, at Samatan, there are water-sports facilities and lakes, as well as the wonderful weekly market.
There are many very good local restaurants, with our nearest being just 3 minutes away in the next village of Riolas.
Slightly further afield (about 25 minutes by car), L'Isle Jourdain offers more swimming and water-sport facilities, with a boating lake. Horse-riding is available in the local forest.
The delightful city of Toulouse - aptly named 'The Pink City' - is about 1 hour by car and offers a wealth of interests ranging from the arts and music, to splendid architecture, the beautiful river Garonne - stunningly floodlit by night.
Golf is available just 15 minutes away in Samatan - home to the famous foie gras market every Monday - and in the beautiful spa town of Luchon (55 minutes). A further excellent 18-hole course (newly opened in 2001) can be found at Seilh (near Toulouse) only about 50 minutes away.
At the approach to the mountains lies The Val d'Aran (eagles and wild boar can be seen) with the charming small Spanish towns of Bossost and Viella just a few minutes further. Canoeing and canyoning are extremely popular sports activities in this area. Good fishing is also available.
A few miles away to the northwest, are the vineyards of Saint-Mont and the celliers where Floc de Gascogne is produced. Nearly all of these are open to the public and visitors are encouraged to sample the wares! Bordeaux and St. Emilion are about 2 1/2 hours to the northwest.
